A Bk Subproduct Approach for Scene Classification
نویسندگان
چکیده
Scene classification has received much attention in the recent past. How images can be efficiently classified becomes an important research topic. Most of the stateof-the-art solutions assumed that scene classes are mutually exclusive. But, different human beings have different perceptions, and different people tend to respond inconsistently even to the same scene images. Hence, a scene image may belong to multiple classes. In this paper, we propose a BK subproduct approach to address this issue. The advantages are two-folds. Firstly, our approach is able to model the non-mutually exclusive data. Secondly, our classification result is not binary. Instead, it classifies each scene image as a combination of different classes using membership function. Empirical results using a standard dataset had shown the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.

An improved BK sub-triangle product approach for scene classification
Scene classification is a popular research topic in computer vision, and has received much attention in the recent past. Conventionally, scene classes are considered to be mutually exclusive. However, in real-world scenarios a scene image may belong to multiple classes, depending upon different perceptions of the masses. In this paper, we propose an improved Bandler and Kohout’s sub-triangle pr...

متن کاملOn the Suitability of the Bandler-Kohout Subproduct as an Inference Mechanism
Fuzzy Relational Inference (FRI) systems form an important part of approximate reasoning schemes using fuzzy sets. Especially, the compositional rule of inference (CRI) introduced by Zadeh has attracted the most attention so far. In this work we show that the FRI scheme based on the BandlerKohout subproduct along with a suitable realisation of the fuzzy rules, does possess all the important pro...
متن کاملEnriched Generic Algebras of Fuzzy Relations
The paper presents an overview of a computation friendly calculus of fuzzy relations. It is presented within the framework of an enriched generic algebra of relations that we have been developing since 1979. It is enriched with BK-non-associative products of relations of three kinds: triangle subproduct C, superproduct B and the square product . The BK-products have been useful in concise formu...

A subproduct system of two-dimensional Hilbert spaces can generate an Arveson system of type I1 only. All possible cases are classified up to isomorphism. This work is triggered by a question of Bhat: can a subproduct system of n-dimensional Hilbert spaces generate an Arveson system of type II or III? The question is still open for n > 2.
